This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of Rosetone ("the Software", "the App", "we") handles information in connection with the App and this website.

1. No data collection

The App collects no personal information. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything the App stores — your settings, reading positions, recent files, and window state — is kept locally on your Mac. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party. Uninstalling the App and deleting its container removes it completely.

3. Network access

The App makes no network connections at all. It cannot send data anywhere because it never goes online.

4. Support requests

If you contact us through the support page, the information you submit (such as your email address and the content of your message) is used solely to respond to your request and is retained only as long as needed to handle it. The support form is provided by Google and is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. This website

rosetone.app is a static website with no analytics and no tracking cookies. It stores a single preference cookie (your chosen language) on your own browser. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process standard web-server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate and secure the service; these logs are not used to identify or track visitors.

6. Your rights under data protection law

Because the App processes no personal data, we do not act as a data controller or data processor for any personal data in connection with the App, and most obligations under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) do not arise.

Where you choose to submit personal data through a support request, we process it on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the support page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, of any age.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Because the App collects no data, changes can only ever reduce the information handled, never expand it silently.
